The anime is a science-fiction adventure aimed at children to teach chemical elements. The project is a joint production between Japan and Korea for both television and merchandising. Many people have speculated that Element Hunter’s overall plot borrows a few striking resemblance to Digimon because of the fact the plot focus’s on 3 children traveling to a futuristic planet called Nega Earth to exsterminate element monsters to collect chemicals of the periodic Table. This anime could also be seen as borrowing a few elements of the Super Sentai genre of also having the 3 main characters getting power suits on their later missions on Nega earth.
